From the Sunday Times:
And now scattered through the British media are reports ranging from
attribution of the death of ITN reporter Terry Lloyd to U.S. Marine tank
fire, to reported allegations from British officers that U.S Marines had
opened fire on Iraqi civilians, both around Basra and elsewhere.
One such report from Nasiriyah was prominently displayed on the front
page of the Sunday Times, whose embedded reporter detailed the death of
a dozen Iraqi men, women and children from "young American Marines with
orders to shoot anything that moved."
Reporter Mark Franchetti said the U.S. Marines he had crossed into Iraq
with a few days ago were "bright-eyed, small-town boys" who had expected
a welcome, or at least a swift surrender.
Instead they had found themselves lured into a bloody battle in which
several Marines were killed, wounded, missing or captured.
While one Marine lieutenant reportedly almost cried as he buried the
body of a baby girl killed by his Marines, Francetti quoted Cpl. Ryan
Dupre as saying: "I am starting to hate this country. Wait until I get
hold of a friggin' Iraqi. No, I won't get hold of one. I'll just kill
him."
Amen brother! That's the way to do it.
Shock and awe, that's right. They accuse the US of being irresponsible
cowboys; show them what the wild wild west is really capable of. And
the tactical nukes aren't even out yet.
No Iraqi civilian life is as important as one US Marine's. Not one, not
five, not one hundred. At least the Iraqi are used to being killed, so
I don't see how a few more matters that much.
Protesters - not only they are being foolishly manipulated by commie remmants,
but they just don't know what an unjust war is. Unjust war is exactly
what is being stopped once and forever in Iraq and maybe the Middle East
right now. And if it takes a few dead Iraqi civilians to do that, I am prepared
to sacrifice them for the cause.
So stop the knee-jerk anti-American rheoteric and THANK the president for
his moral fibre and clarity.
If we had waited for the UN and those French cowards to get anything
done, we'd still be eating liberty fries and watching the UN debating floor.
After what happened in 9-11, the US certainly has the right
to defend itself againat all possible aggression and they will NOT
wait for permission from anyone to do so. If the rest of the world does
not get this message, tough.
There are those who doubt that there are links between al Qeada and Saddam.
That there are no significant WMDs in Iraq.
To those I say: STOP doubting. Links will be found. This is a time for determination.
A time for nerve and backbone.
There are those who accuse the US of being the only country to use WMDs
on a large scale should also wake up and smell the coffee. Even more traitorous
commie sympathizers delayed the bomb just to help the SOVIETS!
Just a little more and we'll be in Baghdad. Iraq will finally be
liberated. I am sure that the president and cabinet have
an excellent plan of what they will do afterwards.
God Bless!
